Bold City Downtown Update:

Jeremy's beers will be on tap this Friday (May 26) at Bold City Downtown starting at 11 am. Jeremy brewed an English Rye IPA with an American-aggressively hopped twist, an Oatmeal Stout and an Extra Special Bitter.

We will be tapping The George and the Dragon Oatmeal Stout at 11 am, The JAM ESB at 2 pm and The Pryed of Frank and Stein Rye IPA at 5 pm.

Check out Jeremy’s (aka Big Jerm) inspiration for his latest brews below and be sure to enjoy a glass while they’re on tap @ Bold City Downtown!

Jeremy Baker. Husband, father of two, musician, and brewer:

The George and the Dragon:
I have family in England so we would visit every couple of years growing up. The legal drinking age is lower there, so the first time I could legitimately drink a beer at a bar was just down the hill from my Grandparent's house. The pub was named The George and the Dragon and George, coincidently was also my Grandfather's name. My oatmeal stout uses a UK hop called Phoenix, so the name is fitting for multiple reasons. It's dark, full bodied and chocolate forward with 5% ABV.

The JAM ESB:
My ESB is also an homage to my British heritage. Attempting to create a traditional English pale ale, I've balanced English 2 row and mild malts with a touch of crystal/caramel malts and English variety hops. My goal with this one was to emulate what you would get if you were in an English pub and asked for a pint of bitter. This is one of the first styles of beer I fell in love with as a young man. It's well balanced with slight bitterness and 5.5% ABV.

The Pryed of Frank and Stein:
My Rye IPA is an English IPA with an American twist as it has been very aggressively hopped. The ingredients came from all over. Spicy and earthy hops from the US and Europe combine with English and American pale malts as well as rye malts to create a Frankenstein of a beer, but with a primary focus on highlighting the experimental hop, HBC 682. This hop is said to have a mild and pleasant aroma with herbal, floral and spicy characteristics. This hoppy hybrid is 7% ABV.

Current Tap List for Bold City Downtown:
The George and the Dragon Oatmeal Stout – 5/26
The JAM ESB – 5/26
The Pryed of Frank and Stein Rye IPA – 5/26
Hop Burst Pale Ale
Passion Fruit Pale Wheat Ale
SMaSH Double IPA
High West Bourbon Barrel Aged Mad Manatee
High West Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout
Screamsicle Cream Ale
Killer Whale Cream Ale
Duke’s Cold Nose Brown Ale
Mad Manatee IPA
1901 Roasted Red Ale
Killer Whale Cream Ale – NITRO

Hope to see you soon! BE BOLD!

Brian
